While we sincerely hope that we won’t be seeing you at one of our hospitals over Christmas and New Year, if you or a loved one do need us, we want to make it easy as possible for you.
And that’s why on Christmas Day there will be open visiting hours, so you can still celebrate with your family and friends.
In addition to this, our partners Spark TSL – who operate our bedside TV systems – are providing free TV for all patients on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year, so you can cosy up and watch Christmas movies. You don’t need to do anything to access the service – it’ll switch over automatically, so just lay back and enjoy. We also provide free wifi across our sites to keep you connected throughout your stay.
Our catering teams are pulling out all the stops to serve up some delicious festive fare.
At Grimsby and Scunthorpe Christmas turkey or nut roast with all the trimmings is available on Christmas Day and on Boxing Day patients can choose between a delicious mushroom wellington or pork loin steak.
At Hull and Castle Hill it’s also turkey or baked chestnut mushroom pie and all the trimmings on the big day. We also have buffet menus available for both children and adults.
It’s been a busy period for our retail catering staff in our various cafes and restaurants too and many of them will be taking a well-earned rest over the holiday season.
