Baby Unit Fund

Supporting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Hull and East Yorkshire Women and Children's Hospital

Registered Charity Number 1011376

The Baby Unit Fund is predominantly built up from donations by parents and families of babies that we care for on Hull's Neonatal Unit at the Hull and East Yorkshire Women and Children's Hospital.

The money raised goes towards many different things such as the provision of equipment for the babies, improving parent facilities, and staff training to improve the level of care given.

We are also open to suggestions for spending from those that donate, parents, and staff.

How do I donate?

Donations can be made in cash handed in at the Neonatal Unit, by cheque made payable to The Baby Unit Fund and sent to the address on this page, or through our donations and fundraising page on JustGiving.

How is the money spent?

The Baby Unit Fund has been running since 1992 and has been used to provide a ventilator, a BiPAP machine, cold light, and a transport incubator for our babies.

It has also funded the renovation of our parents' kitchen and sitting room, and has been used to enhance staff training and increase attendance at study days, therefore improving care standards.

We are currently raising money to renovate the breast milk expressing room for parents.

The fund is in place to support and implement the development of neonatal care, rather than to replace equipment.
