Neurosurgery

Neurosurgery research aims to improve treatments and functional outcomes for patients undergoing neurosurgery. We have trials for interventional treatments, acute and observational randomised controlled trials

We have interventional trials for aneurysmal Subarachnoid Haemorrhage, Chronic subdural hematoma, and newly diagnosed presumed supratentorial (cerebral) glioma compared with standard care to determine the clinical effectiveness, improve functional outcomes and reduce the rate of surgical intervention and the recurrence rate.

We also have observational trials evaluating surgery with craniectomy for patients undergoing evacuation of acute subdural haematoma and trials evaluating clinical outcomes of minimally invasive fusion procedures for the treatment of the degenerative lumbar spine.
