Academic Cardiology

We are a specialist research department that is part of the University of Hull and is allied to the Hull York Medical School. We are based in the Daisy building at Castle Hill Hospital. We have a dedicated research team of medics, nurses, administrators and technicians. The main areas we deal with are heart failure (reduction in the heart’s ability to pump), disturbances to the heart’s rhythm and other cardiac and related disorders. We perform a number of services for the NHS such as Tilt tests, cardio-pulmonary exercise tests and heart failure clinics.
