Introduction
This leaflet has been created for the purpose of completing the Glasgow Hearing Aid Benefit Profile (GHABP) questionnaire prior to your appointment date. This will help provide you with the time to consider the questions and reduce time needed for the face to face part of your appointment that will follow.
What is the GHABP?
The Glasgow Hearing Aid Benefit Profile (GHABP) is a questionnaire developed to help evaluate individual patients perceived hearing difficulties.
What will I have to do?
You are being asked to complete the questionnaire and bring it to your appointment.
This questionnaire will ask about four specific listening situations and will be asking:
- whether this situation occurs in your life
- how much difficulty do you have in this situation
- how much does this difficulty, worry, annoy or upset you
On arrival at you audiology appointment please hand the completed questionnaire to the audiologist carrying out your appointment.
How long will it take to complete?
The questionnaire could take around 5 minutes.
What will this questionnaire be used for?
This questionnaire will be used to help create an individual management plan for you and your specific needs.
