About Hull Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre

The Hull Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit was founded in 1998. There has been a progressive increase in number of staff and facilities with a dedicated outpatient facility, an experienced multidisciplinary team which includes consultants, clinical nurse specialists, a physiotherapist, a dietitian and a clinical psychologist. We work in close collaboration with other regional clinics, such as York, Leeds and Newcastle (transplantation).

We provide a comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and home care service.

Our aim is patient centred care and we pride ourselves on the ease of access for patients to our service. Recent developments include high specification cubicles on the newly opened Ward 500 at Hull Royal Infirmary, where staff are experienced in the care of patients with cystic fibrosis. We are a leading centre for the research to find treatments and ultimately a cure for cystic fibrosis. Until this is achieved we aim to provide the best possible responsive service to our patients. We have also just moved into our new Hull Adults Cystic Fibrosis Centre based at Castle Hill Hospital, which provides us with a dedicated outpatient service area. We look forward to the grand opening very shortly!
