Our two hospitals are accessible by bus, train, bicycle, taxi, car or on foot. There are also assisted transport options available to patients.

Train Service

Hull Paragon Interchange is a 10-minute walk from Hull Royal Infirmary and is served directly by trains from Beverley, Cottingham, Driffield, Bridlington, Sheffield, York and Doncaster.

Car Parking

Our main pay and display car park is on Argyle Street and there are numerous spaces in and around the hospital site.

Bus Routes

* The 154 travels around the hospital site entering via Entrance 2 and exiting via Entrance 1 with several stops en route.

Train Service

Cottingham Rail Station is a 30-40 minute walk from Castle Hill Hospital.

The closest bus routes to Castle Hill Hospital from the train station are Thwaite Street for the 115 and Kings Street for the 9, both a short walk away.

Car parking at our hospitals

All of our car parks are Pay and Display and the charges are as follows:

  • £2.00 for up to 1 hour
  • £3.00 for 1 to 2 hours
  • £5.00 for 2 to 24 hours

Alternatively, for £10 per week / £20 per month you can buy a monthly parking permit. You must ask for a form from the ward or department you are visiting, then take it to the General Office at either of our hospitals.

We cannot guarantee that you will find a car parking space within easy walking distance of the area you are visiting, therefore we strongly recommend that you consider using public transport.

If you do decide to travel by car, please leave plenty of time before your appointment to give you chance to find a parking space. We cannot be held responsible for your late arrival due to car parking related issues.

Please note that our car parks are managed by OCS. Patrollers pay particular attention to vehicles parked in disabled spaces. Please ensure that you display your blue badge if you are parked in a disabled driver space.
